Transfer Scholarships

Transfer applicants with 12 or more non-remedial credits from an accredited college or university may be eligible for a scholarship.

Transfer students at Waynesburg University may be eligible for one of the following three awards:

Transfer Scholarship* $6,000 3.0 to 3.49 cumulative GPA at most recent college/university attended**
Transfer Opportunity Award* $3,000 2.5 to 2.99 cumulative GPA at most recent college/university attended**


*Scholarships are reduced for students not living on campus.

**Required GPA must be attained through at least 12 credits of non-remedial 100+ level courses. The Admissions Committee reserves the right to recalculate GPA based on all previously attended institutions and all academic credentials included within the application process.


In addition to the scholarships above, students may be eligible for the following:

  • State Scholarship - $3,000, Cumulative GPA of 2.5 and non-PA resident
  • Community College Impact Award - $2,500, most recently enrolled at a community college full-time


Note: Only transfer students enrolling in January and August 2019 are eligible for the above awards. Students applying for the Second Degree Nursing, RN-BSN and BML programs, along with students who have already received a bachelor's degree, are not eligible for any of the above scholarships.
