Summary: John Suber was born in Manchester in 1957. He lives now in a house
that sits on the property that his father and mother bought on Liverpool Street
in 1951. They were the first black family to own property on Liverpool Street.
He remembers very large homes from his childhood with high ceiling and rooms
that were 25 feet long. He also remembers a period of racial unrest during the
1960s following the assassination of Martin Luther King, jr.
