How does military life in South Korea today compare to military life during the Korean War?

On June 25, 1950, North Korean troops crossed the 38th parallel and invaded South Korea.  This was the beginning of a war that would last three short years but take the lives of nearly 34,000 soldiers.  Some call it the Forgotten War but Korean Veterans have not forgotten their time of duty in Korea.

Your task is to interview soldiers past and present to learn of their impressions of military life in Korea and write a report.

You will be using the Library of Congress, the Internet, and digital recorders to compile your reports.
